Volleyball Recap: Rio Rancho Triumphs + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Pius X, Rio Rancho was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Santa Fe Demons. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

While Rio Rancho might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Santa Fe scored at least 22 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 23-25, 29-27, 25-22.

Rio Rancho's offense was headlined by Briland Kienle and Jacey Mader, who picked up ten kills apiece. They got some help from Addicyn Bishop and her 28 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Despite the loss, Santa Fe still got an impressive performance from Glynis Chung, who had ten digs and one assist.

The victory got Rio Rancho back to even at 1-1. As for Santa Fe, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Rio Rancho wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Las Cruces on the 6th. As for Santa Fe, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Los Alamos on the 4th.
