Soccer Recap: Alleghany Takes a Loss

If Alleghany was riding high fresh off their 5-1 takedown of Buffalo Gap last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mountaineers fell 7-5 to the Wilson Memorial Hornets on Tuesday.

Alleghany's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Wilson Memorial, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season.

Alleghany will venture away from home to challenge Riverheads at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Alleghany will be up against Riverheads' rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.83 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Wilson Memorial, they will host Staunton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
