Football Recap: Fort Wayne North Side Finds Playoff Glory Versus Goshen

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Fort Wayne North Side walked away with it. They really took it to the Goshen RedHawks for the full four quarters, racking up a 41-0 victory. Considering the Legends have won three contests by more than 34 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Caleb Kiengele produced another solid performance rushing for 135 yards and two TDs on only 12 carries.

Another reason for the win was Fort Wayne North Side's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for eight sacks. Jamarcus Martin led the group effort, picking up three of those sacks all by himself. Omarion Waites has been hot, having also posted five or more total tackles the last eight times he's played. Fort Wayne North Side received some extra help from Martin, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Fort Wayne North Side's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Goshen, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Coming up, Fort Wayne North Side will face off against Concord at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Legends will need to watch out since the Minutemen have now posted at least 31 points in their last six games. Goshen does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
