Soccer Recap: Washington-Wilkes Takes a Loss

Washington-Wilkes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 4-1 to Greene County. If Washington-Wilkes was looking for revenge after losing 1-1 to Greene County when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Washington-Wilkes' defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Greene County, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-9.

Washington-Wilkes has already played their next game (against Towns County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Greene County, they will be playing at home against Salem at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Salem will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each matchup than the last.
