Burwell won the last time they faced Twin Loup and things went their way on Thursday too. The Longhorns walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Wolves. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Longhorns.

Burwell not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Twin Loup to exactly 18 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-18.

Regan Smith paced Burwell's offense, picking up nine kills. Smith got some help from Brookelyn Gideon and her 12 assists. Gideon was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Burwell's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Twin Loup, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Burwell will head out on the road to square off against Elgin/Pope John on Tuesday. As for Twin Loup, they will challenge Ansley/Litchfield on Thursday.
