Burwell won the last time they faced Twin Loup and things went their way on Thursday too. The Longhorns came out on top against the Wolves by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Longhorns.

The win didn't come easy: Twin Loup scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-18.

Regan Smith paced Burwell's offense, picking up nine kills. Smith got some help from Brookelyn Gideon and her 12 assists. Gideon was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Burwell's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Twin Loup, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Burwell will venture away from home to square off against Elgin/Pope John on Tuesday. As for Twin Loup, they will host Ansley/Litchfield on Thursday.
