Fredericksburg was the 15-0 winner over Wimberley when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Fredericksburg fell just short of Wimberley by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday. The Billies' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Makenna Duecker was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she struck out six batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Larryn Feuge was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
