While Purnell Swett put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Douglas Byrd. The Rams blew past the Eagles 16-0. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Braci Woods made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-1.

In other batting news, Terra Bullard was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and one triple. Kiersten Strickland was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Purnell Swett hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are 5-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Purnell Swett's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Douglas Byrd, their defeat was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-10.
