North Woods had already won seven in a row and they went ahead and made it eight on Monday. They put the hurt on the Littlefork-Big Falls Vikings with a sharp 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the grizzlies also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant North Woods was: they took every set by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-12, 25-8.

Lauren Burnett paced North Woods' offense, picking up 11 kills. Burnett got some help from Carsyn Burnett and her 16 assists. Lauren also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Isabel Pascuzzi, racking up seven apiece.

North Woods' victory bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Littlefork-Big Falls, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Woods will take on McGregor at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Littlefork-Big Falls, they will venture away from home to square off against Deer River at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
