Baseball Recap: Colbert Beats Pauls Valley for Their Sixth Straight Win

Colbert came tearing into Friday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They didn't even let the Pauls Valley Panthers on the board, marking their second-straight 8-0 shutout. The Leopards might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.

Colbert's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-6. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Pauls Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 4-21.

Coincidentally, Colbert and Pauls Valley will both be playing Vanoss the next time they take the field. The Panthers will host the Wolves at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Leopards will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
