Volleyball Recap: Poinciana Finds Playoff Glory Versus Celebration

With a playoff win on the line, Poinciana rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They won by a set and slipped past the Celebration Storm 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Storm on April 8th, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

Poinciana's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordan Isaac, who had 23 digs and 14 kills. That's the most digs Isaac has posted since April 8th. The team also got some help courtesy of Yaniel Pujols, who had 26 digs and four aces.

Celebration's loss came despite strong showings from Davi Jardim and Daniel Santiago. Jardim had 21 digs and one assist, while Santiago had 20 kills, nine digs, and six blocks. Jardim has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last six times he's played.

The win was the third in a row for Poinciana, bringing their record up to 10-8. As for Celebration, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Poinciana nor Celebration have any future games scheduled.
