Basketball Recap: All Saints' Academy Comes Up Short

All Saints' Academy and Victory Christian Academy squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but All Saints' Academy had to settle for second. They were dealt a 75-9 loss at the hands of the Victory Christian Academy Storm. While losing is never fun, the Saints can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 680th, while the Storm are ranked 230th).

Jade Grier continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Victory Christian Academy, going 5 for 8 on her way to 13 points and four steals. Jamylah Wilson was another key player, going 5 of 11 en route to 14 points and six steals.

All Saints' Academy is on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16. As for Victory Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.
