Soccer Recap: Alta Loma Comes Up Short

Alta Loma was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Colony Titans. While losing is never fun, the Braves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 707th, while the Titans are ranked 131st).

Alta Loma's loss dropped their record down to 1-11-4. As for Colony, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2-3.

Alta Loma will host South Hills at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Alta Loma's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Colony, they will head out to challenge Los Altos at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
