After a string of four wins, Marquette's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the Traverse City Central Trojans by a score of 44-41. While losing is never fun, the Redmen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 210th, while the Trojans are ranked 58th).

Marquette's defeat dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Traverse City Central, they pushed their record up to 17-6 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home.

Marquette does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Traverse City Central, they will square off against Dow at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Dow will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Traverse City Central surely won't give up without a fight.
