Football Game Preview: Deuel Cardinals vs. Sioux Valley Cossacks

Deuel is 0-3 against Sioux Valley since October of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Cardinals will face off against the Cossacks at 7:00 p.m. Deuel will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.

It was a proper cat-fight when Deuel challenged Groton on Friday. The Cardinals' defense stepped up to hand the Tigers a 20-0 shutout.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 54 points the game before, Sioux Valley was a bit more limited in their contest two weeks ago. They lost to Clark/Willow Lake at home by a 26-8 margin.

Sioux Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Deuel, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Deuel suffered a grim 47-26 defeat to Sioux Valley when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Cardinals avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
