Basketball Recap: Sunset Takes a Loss

Sunset was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost to the Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool Warriors at home by a 69-54 margin.

David Aguilar had another great game (as he tends to do), going 9-for-14 on his way to 19 points and seven boards for Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool. Aguilar has also also been stellar as far as field goal percentage is concerned: he's posted one of at least 50% every time he's hit the court this season. Another player making a difference was Holden McGarrah, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 14 points.

Sunset's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.

Coming up, Sunset will square off against Newman International Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 50-48 loss against Bishop Gorman on the 6th.
