Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Chapel Hill

Chapel Hill entered their tilt with Northern Durham on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 17-7 margin over the Knights. That's two games straight that the Tigers have won by exactly ten runs.

Channing Clark spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and four unearned) runs on five hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Alexandra (Kes) Duncan, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Ashley Hernandez Moralez also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Chapel Hill kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March of 2025.

Chapel Hill's record now sits at 6-4. As for Northern Durham, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.
