Baseball Recap: Marysville Comes Up Short

Marysville lost against Gridley back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Indians fell 8-3 to the Bulldogs. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Marysville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Devin Lopes, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Marysville's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16-1. As for Gridley, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Marysville wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 9-4 loss against Yreka on the 15th. As for Gridley, they have also already played their next game, a 4-2 defeat against Lassen on the 15th.
