Roanoke Valley Christian is 2-8 against Grace Christian since April of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The EAGLES will host the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. Grace Christian took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Roanoke Valley Christian, who comes in off a win.
Roanoke Valley Christian headed into their last game having not scored more than two runs for three straight, but Westover Christian Academy let them put that streak behind them. The EAGLES put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 13-2 victory on Monday. The win was some much needed relief for the EAGLES as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Colton Bowman made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Roanoke Valley Christian is 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 2-7 otherwise. Bowman was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Josh Kraciuk, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Jacob Mioduszewski was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
Roanoke Valley Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Westover Christian Academy only managed five hits.
Meanwhile, Grace Christian fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Blue Ridge on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Barons by a score of 7-6. The Warriors' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Chase Adams was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Abe Hochstetler also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Roanoke Valley Christian's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Grace Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 9-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Roanoke Valley Christian has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Grace Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
