Steeleville is 0-10 against Chester since December of 2018 but things could change on Thursday. The Steeleville Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Chester Yellowjackets at 7:30 p.m. Chester took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Steeleville, who comes in off a win.

Steeleville took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Gibault Catholic 40-37.

Meanwhile, Chester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 60-51 to Anna-Jonesboro.

Steeleville pushed their record up to 6-12 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Chester, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-13.

Steeleville came up short against Chester in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, falling 76-71. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Chester's Lexie Mott, who dropped a double-double on 38 points and 12 rebounds.
