Softball Recap: Roland-Story Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

While Roland-Story didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-24), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They had just enough and edged out the East Marshall Mustangs 10-9 on Thursday. The victory was familiar territory for the Norsemen, who have now won four matchups in a row.

Kennedy Hodnefield looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, Keely Oberender was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kate Berggren, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Roland-Story always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Roland-Story's record is now 8-3. As for East Marshall, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-3 record.

Coming up, Roland-Story will be playing in front of their home fans against Nevada at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for East Marshall, they will venture away from home to face off against B-G-M at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
