Volleyball Recap: Siegel Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Siegel can now relate to. They fell 2-0 to the Green Hill Hawks on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Wednesday.

George Stevens produced another solid effort getting 12 kills, five aces, and three digs for Green Hill. Stevens is crushing it when it comes to aces: he's served at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Lincoln Witt, who had 13 assists and one block.

Siegel has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Green Hill, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 16-1.

Green Hill has already played their next match (against Arlington), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Siegel will be paying especially close attention to the Hawks' game: after the Hawks face off against Jonathan Edwards Classical Academy, they'll take on Siegel again at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
