Volleyball Recap: Damien Falls Short Against Ranked Hawaii Baptist Academy

Damien faced Hawaii Baptist Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Monarchs fell 3-1 to the Eagles. The Monarchs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Damien has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Hawaii Baptist Academy, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-15.

Looking ahead, Damien will square off against Maryknoll at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Hawaii Baptist Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Hanalani on the 30th.
