Baseball Recap: Garrard County Takes a Loss

Garrard County managed to slip by East Jessamine the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Golden Lions came up short against the Jaguars on Friday, falling 11-1. The Golden Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Jaguars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Garrard County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Korbin Folger, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one RBI.

Garrard County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for East Jessamine, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Garrard County will take on Fleming County at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Golden Lions are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for East Jessamine, they will challenge Southern at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
