Basketball Recap: Titus Lanier's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Keith over Dallas County

Keith was the 72-65 winner over Dallas County when they last played one another on December 3rd, but their luck changed this time around. The Keith Bears took a 43-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dallas County Hornets. The match marked the Bears' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Several Bears players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Titus Lanier, who posted 13 points. That was a full 34.2% of Keith's points, marking the third time in a row he's had more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Eric Hall, who earned nine points and five rebounds.

It was another big night for Joshua Davis III, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds for Dallas County. Davis III's evening made it 18 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mike Hosea, who put up six points and eight rebounds.

Keith has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Dallas County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-7.

Keith wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 58-54 victory against Tuscaloosa County on the 23rd. As for Dallas County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 68-46 win against Victory Christian on the 27th.
