Basketball Game Preview: Line Mountain Eagles vs. Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Red Raiders

The Line Mountain Eagles and the Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Red Raiders will compete for holiday cheer at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Line Mountain has three straight wins, Our Lady of Lourdes Regional has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Line Mountain will bounce into Saturday's game after beating Juniata, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Line Mountain walked away with a 56-47 victory over Juniata on Thursday. That looming 56-47 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Eagles yet this season.

Meanwhile, Our Lady of Lourdes Regional scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 61-60 to Weatherly.

Line Mountain pushed their record up to 4-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for Our Lady of Lourdes Regional, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Line Mountain took a serious blow against Our Lady of Lourdes Regional in their previous matchup back in February of 2016, falling 56-25. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Line Mountain was down 35-8.
