            Volleyball Recap: Conifer Lobos vs. Standley Lake Gators        
        
		
        
        
            If Conifer was feeling good  fresh off their  3-0 takedown of Doral Academy Red Rock on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lobos fell just short of the Standley Lake Gators by a score of  3-2 on Monday. That makes it the first time this season the Lobos have let down their home crowd.
 Conifer actually scored more points across those five sets (108-106), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 17-25, 23-25, 26-24,  15-11.
 Sage Bishop paced Conifer's offense, picking up 22 kills. Bishop got some help from  Hayden Buscher and her 33 assists. Finally,  Maya Meyers kept Conifer's defense grounded, leading the team with seven blocks.
Conifer's loss dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Standley Lake, they pushed their record up to 18-3 with the  victory, which was their fourth straight  on the road.
 Conifer has already played their next contest,  a  3-1  win against Green Mountain on the 29th. As for Standley Lake, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  match,  a  3-1  victory against Evergreen on the 29th.
