Preview: Rock Canyon Jaguars vs. Legend Titans
Rock Canyon has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Legend Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rock Canyon has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 638 points over their last nine matches.
Last Friday, Rock Canyon faced Regis Jesuit in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Rock Canyon skirted past Regis Jesuit 87-84. Rock Canyon's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Macoy Terry was his usual excellent self, scoring 27 points along with eight assists and six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kasen Lehman, who scored 16 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Legend's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell to Ralston Valley 46-42.
Rock Canyon's win was their 15th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.2 points per game. As for Legend, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Rock Canyon against Legend in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 77-42 win. With Rock Canyon ahead 41-21 at the half, the game was all but over already.
