Volleyball Recap: Chesapeake Beats Glen Burnie for Their Third Straight Victory + How To Watch

Chesapeake waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Glen Burnie Gophers 3-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Chesapeake walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-21, 25-15.

Chesapeake's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Corinne Brandts, who had five digs and two aces. Those five digs gave Brandts a new career-high. Emily Curtin also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Chesapeake was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. They are a perfect 6-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Chesapeake's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Glen Burnie, they dropped their record down to 2-8 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Chesapeake will head out to square off against Annapolis at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Glen Burnie, they will take on Wilde Lake at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
