Football Recap: Graham Piles Up the Points Against Bridgeport

Graham never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past the Bridgeport Bulls 56-0. The Steers haven't had any issues with the Bulls recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Jace Gill had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 266 yards and three TDs while completing 77.3% of his passes, and also rushing for 75 yards and a pair of scores. Those three passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Walker Bennett was Gill's top target, picking up 87 receiving yards and one touchdown.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Graham's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Caleb Gibson, Bennett Coley, and Denton Lauster, who each picked up one sack apiece. Gibson was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making 11 total tackles.

Graham's record now sits at 5-2. As for Bridgeport, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Coming up, Graham will square off against Mineral Wells at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Steers will be up against the Rams' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32.29 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Bridgeport, they will face off against Eagle Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulls' defense better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 29 points per game this season.
