Fort Cherry strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past the Avella Eagles, posting a 48-14 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Rangers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 96th, while the Eagles are ranked 449th).

Fort Cherry's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Matt Sieg led the charge by rushing for 161 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only seven carries. Sieg is also crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least two every time he's taken the field this season. Eli Salvini was another key rusher, rushing for 94 yards and three TDs on only six carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Fort Cherry was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 358 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Avella only rushed for 43.

Fort Cherry's victory bumped their record up to 11-0. As for Avella, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5.

As of now, neither Fort Cherry nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
