Shadow Ridge has gone 8-2 against Palo Verde recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Shadow Ridge Mustangs are taking a road trip to take on the Palo Verde Panthers at 6:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Shadow Ridge is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Bishop Gorman, who was ranked second at the time (Shadow Ridge was ranked ninth). Shadow Ridge was dealt a 65-35 defeat at the hands of Bishop Gorman on Friday.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 59 points the game before, Palo Verde was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They had to suffer through a 68-16 loss at the hands of Centennial. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-8.

Shadow Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Palo Verde, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Shadow Ridge came up short against Palo Verde in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 45-40. Can Shadow Ridge avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
