Soccer Recap: Foundation Academy Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Foundation Academy couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost 4-1 to the Windermere Prep Lakers on Tuesday. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Lakers recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Foundation Academy's goal came courtesy of Will Prunty, who's now up to 13 this season.

Foundation Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 13-2-1. As for Windermere Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2-2 record this season.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Foundation Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on King's Academy at 5:00 p.m. on February 11th. Foundation Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5 goals per game this season. Windermere Prep will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against The First Academy at 3:30 p.m. on February 11th. Windermere Prep also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 2.6 goals per game.
