Pacheco is 6-1 against Gustine since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Panthers will venture away from home to take on the Reds at 10:00 a.m. Pacheco has now lost 16 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since February 22.

Pacheco might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 12-2 to Lathrop, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Pacheco saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isabella Chavez, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double. That double marked the first that Chavez has hit this season.

Meanwhile, Gustine beat Delhi 13-8 on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Reds in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now won three in a row.

Gustine let Leilah Fara and Shandel Aguilera run wild. Fara went 4-for-5 with four runs, three doubles, and three RBI, while Aguilera went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those four runs gave Fara a new career-high. Jacqueline Chavez was another key player, going 4-for-5 with two stolen bases and three runs.

Gustine kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 21 hits. They are 7-2 when they post 11 or more hits.

Pacheco's loss dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Gustine, their record now sits at 7-10.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Pacheco has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Gustine struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Pacheco might still be hurting after the 16-5 defeat they got from Gustine in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
