Softball Preview: New Lothrop Hornets vs. Hill-McCloy Rams
After five games on the road, New Lothrop is heading back home. They will take on the Hill-McCloy Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (New Lothrop: 3.1, Hill-McCloy: 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Meanwhile, Hill-McCloy had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 runs), and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 6-3.
Lainey Cannon was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits (and not a single walk). Cannon has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than six innings in seven consecutive pitching appearances.
