Basketball Recap: Josey Comes Up Short

Josey lost against Morgan County back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Josey Eagles were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 50-49 to the Morgan County Bulldogs. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bulldogs 15-4 in the first quarter.

Josey's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Morgan County, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Josey and Lakeside will face off at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Morgan County, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Putnam County at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Putnam County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 contests -- so hopefully Morgan County likes a good challenge.
