Soccer Game Preview: Manatee vs. Out-of-Door Academy

The Manatee Hurricanes will square off against the Out-of-Door Academy Thunder at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Manatee is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.8 goals per game this season.

Manatee's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Palmetto.

Anthony Ramos and Jose Lopez scored both of Manatee's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Out-of-Door Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They blew past Sarasota Christian 5-1 on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Thunder, who have now won seven contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Out-of-Door Academy is also on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 45 goals over those 11 matches. As for Manatee, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 9-5-1.
