Basketball Recap: Ellwood City Falls Short of South Allegheny in the Playoffs

Ellwood City and South Allegheny squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Ellwood City had to settle for second. They took a blow against the South Allegheny Gladiators, falling 77-34. The Wolverine were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-13.

Despite the loss, Ellwood City still got an impressive performance from Aaron Lake, who posted 12 points and five boards.

Ellwood City's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for South Allegheny, they pushed their record up to 16-3 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

As of now, neither Ellwood City nor South Allegheny have any future games scheduled.
