Baseball Recap: Sumner Stingrays vs. Alonso Ravens
Sumner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 10-2 to the Alonso Ravens. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Ravens this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 last Saturday.
Sumner got a good showing from Juan OValle, who didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.
Sumner's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Alonso, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sumner will challenge East Bay at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th. As for Alonso, they will take on Sickles at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th. Alonso's pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so Sickles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
