Baseball Recap: Catskill Takes a Loss

Catskill lost against Chatham back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cats took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. The Cats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Catskill saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Riley Street, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Street also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

Catskill now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Chatham, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Catskill will square off against Cairo-Durham at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Chatham, they will take on Highland at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Huskies will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight.
