Baseball Recap: Friendship Christian Comes Up Short

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Friendship Christian was a bit more limited in their match on Saturday. They came up short against the Upperman Bees, falling 11-1. The Commanders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bees apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Friendship Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Miles Fitzpatrick, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Friendship Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Upperman, they pushed their record up to 8-7 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Friendship Christian will welcome Ezell-Harding Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Ezell-Harding Christian will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Friendship Christian surely won't give up without a fight. As for Upperman, they are taking a road trip to square off against York Institute at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
