Softball Recap: St. Mary's Rams vs. Lodi Flames
St. Mary had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 5-13 to make it four. They lost 9-1 to the Lodi Flames. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Rams couldn't push the score so high this time.
St. Mary's saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aliana Basto, who went 1-for-3 with one run.
As for Lodi, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Mary's will square off against West at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rams are facing the Wolfpack at the right time seeing as the Wolfpack are stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Lodi, they will challenge Kimball at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Flames' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Jaguars have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
