Baseball Recap: Bucksport Takes a Loss

Bucksport is still winless after their matchup against Dexter on Wednesday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Tigers. On the bright side, the five- run effort marked the Golden Bucks' highest-scoring contest to date.

Bucksport saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nick Clair, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That run was Clair's first of the season.

Bucksport's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Dexter, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bucksport will welcome George Stevens Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Dexter, they will host Mattanawcook at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Lynx will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight.
