Basketball Recap: Alleluia Community's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Ten

Alleluia Community came tearing into Monday's contest with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Peachtree Academy Panthers, posting a 55-28 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 72-27 last Monday.

Alleluia Community's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alley McBride led the charge by putting up 25 points. McBride's evening made it nine games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Lucy Krementz was another key player, earning 14 points.

Alleluia Community's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-6. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.4 points per game. As for Peachtree Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Alleluia Community wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 63-62 loss against Briarwood Academy on the 28th. Peachtree Academy has also already played their next match (against Faith Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
