Basketball Recap: Englewood Comes Up Short

Englewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by the Middle Park Panthers 64-13. The Pirates were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-12.

Middle Park's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Blaire Hester, who went 8 for 11 en route to 19 points in addition to seven boards and six steals. Hester has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played. Aubree Hanson was another key player, going 8 of 19 on her way to 17 points and seven rebounds.

Englewood's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Middle Park, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-9.

Englewood has already played their next matchup (against Arvada), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Middle Park has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Arrupe Jesuit.
