Soccer Game Preview: Alcoa vs. Sequoyah

For the first time this season, Alcoa will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out to challenge the Sequoyah Chiefs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Alcoa has given up an average of 3.5 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Alcoa came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against West, falling 5-1. Alcoa haven't had much luck with West recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Sequoyah was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor McMinn Central could gain the upper hand two weeks ago so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

With that draw, Sequoyah's record moves to 2-2-1. As for Alcoa, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Everything went Alcoa's way against Sequoyah when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Alcoa made off with a 9-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tornadoes since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
