Basketball Recap: Union Star Takes a Loss

Union Star was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 50-22 defeat at the hands of the Winston Red Birds. The Trojans lost against the Red Birds in their previous head to head back in January of 2019, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 78-12 score last time.

Union Star's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Winston, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Union Star will take on Cainsville in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Winston, they will be home for the holidays to greet Guadalupe Centers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
