Baseball Recap: Grant Generals vs. Eisenhower Eagles
Grant extended their losing streak to 14 on Monday, dropping them down to 3-18. They came up short against the Eisenhower Eagles, falling 17-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-5 on Monday.
As for Eisenhower, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-24-1. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
For Eisenhower's part, Jayven Wesley was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave Wesley a new career-high. Santana Gordon was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.
While Grant had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
