Recap: Alvarado vs. Life Waxahachie

After a string of five wins, the Alvarado Indians's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Life Waxahachie by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Alvarado of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.

Their goal came courtesy of gustavo gil, which was the first he's scored this season.

Alvarado's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-3-1. As for Life Waxahachie, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4-2 record this season.

Alvarado will head out on the road to square off against Kennedale at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Kennedale and Alvarado are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Life Waxahachie, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Godley at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Godley's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
