Soccer Recap: Phoenix Comes Up Short

After flying high against Calhoun Christian last Wednesday, Phoenix came back down to earth. The Falcons lost 3-0 to the Hackett Catholic Prep Fighting Irish on Monday. If Phoenix were looking for revenge after losing 7-2 to Hackett Catholic Prep when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Phoenix has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. As for Hackett Catholic Prep, the victory snapped their losing streak at four matches and leaves them with a 7-6-5 record.

Phoenix does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hackett Catholic Prep, they will square off against Kalamazoo Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Kalamazoo Christian will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each contest than the last.
